A superior source of fat, energy and a good balance
of both Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids
to increase stamina and endurance

Oils are liquid fats and are an important part of a balanced diet because:
1. They increase the energy density of the ration, thus decreasing quantity of concentrate needed
to increase athletic performance.
2. Increase glycogen stores in muscles.
3. Delay onset of fatigue by its glycogen sparing effect (fat is used for energy first, allowing
glycogen to be saved).
4. They provide essential fatty acids, which are the building blocks of cell membranes.
5. Contains 2,25 times more energy than carbohydrates and proteins and is utilised more
efficiently than other sources of dietary energy.
6. One cup (237ml) is equal in energy to 1kg of maize.
7. Provide and aid in the adsorption of fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.
8. Contribute to a glossier hair coat.
The fatty acids that are necessary for health and that cannot be made by the body are called essential fatty acids (EFA's). EFA's must be supplied through the diet in an optimal ratio of 4:1. There are two basic categories of EFA's, named omega-3 (alpha-linolenic and eicosapentaenoic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid), based on their chemical structures.
Every living cell in the body needs EFA's. They are essential for rebuilding and producing new cells. EFA's fatty acids are also used by the body for the production of prostaglandins, hormone like substances that act as chemical messengers and regulators of various body processes.
Omega performance oil contains canola, soya and linseed oil (which has a good balance between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids) and contains significant amounts of the anti-oxidant vit. E plus phytosterols (plant sterols}, which play a role in supporting the immune system and cellular function.
Feed 120 to 250 ml daily. Introduce slowly into diet. Maximum benefit achieved after a few weeks.
Do not subject oil to heat- heat destroys EFA's

All supplements meet the latest research-based nutritional requirements (NRC 2007), are registered under SA Act 36 of 1947 legislation, and conform to the highest quality standards.
